Role Art Direction, Branding and Exhibition Design

PyCon is a Python Conference, held annually for the promotion and discussion of the Python programming language. In 2017, it happened for the first time in Pakistan, and I was the lead designer for the event.

PROJECT GOALS

The initial challenge was to produce a bold and vibrant color scheme that could also coherently work with the existing logo design.

The target audience was mainly young professionals and students working with the Python language across workspaces and universities in the city. The branding was intended to be displayed in these respective physical spaces as well as on social media. Having a bold and vibrant visual language proved to be effective in resonating with a younger audience.

THE NEXT STEP

Branding for PyCon events often revolves around contextual landmarks or cultural elements, I aimed to create intricate illustrations about the country's famous landmarks, making the event stand out from its predecessors.
